‘No Tweets Returned’ error

The plugin suddenly stopped working and I now get a “NO TWEETS RETURNED” message. I followed the link to troubleshoot and looked at the possible causes. My tweets do not have any hashtags and even the shortcode I used is only [custom-twitter-feeds]. I also tried changing the number of tweets to retrieve and I cannot figure out what the issue is. Any help will be appreciated.
