• Hey team !!

Thank you for that great plugin wich I find to be the best and easiest for managing multiple languages with wordpress.
I am building a website, everything is close to be ready for production except one thing, that’s the reason for my post.

    Situation :

    I am using 3 plugins.
    1. Buddypress
    2. Geomywp
    3. WP Multilang

I use Buddypress to add a new profile field for each member.
I use Geomywp to add a location field for each member and to create a custom search form with those both fields.

    Exemple :

This is one Buddypress checkbox custom field
    Title Field
    [:en]Title in english[:fr]Titre en fran?ais[:]
    Content field
[:en]Content text in english[:fr]Texte de contenu en fran?ais[:]

When I visit the user profile, the title field and the content field are correctly translated.
When I go to the Geomywp search form where I use that same field, there is a problem.
It shows the whole texts with [:en]+[:fr]+[:]. No translation here.

    Same thing for Geomywp form.
I use the location field wich is translated correctly inside user’s profile. But in the search form, it goes wrong like above.
It shows the full text with [:en]+[:fr]+[:] instead of translating.

    Any ideas please ?

    Thank you for reading.

    Hi @gingerbooch
Sorry, but Geomywp is not supported.

    Hi @valexar,

    I was hoping for a php/mysql tweak.
Do you think it is impossible or is there any file you could suggest me to look at ?
If there is a chance to make it work properly, I would like to try to do something.

    Thank you,

    Hi @gingerbooch
Each plugin has its own structure, own functions, own methods. Each developer does it on its own. There is no single way that would be universal for all plugins.
You need to look at the code of the plugin that you want to integrate. Search for filters, if any, before storing data to the database in order to extract old translations and add a new one. Also look the filters before outputting the desired thread to the screen to translate it into the desired language.
    Regards.

Thank you very much, I’ll take a look at this.
I’ll keep you informed if I can find a solution.
