• I faced the same problem than the user here called “webmaster in texas”. I have bought the pro version of the form because i was looking for a payment gateway (paypal). After installing it, i discovered i could not use it with my theme (oneengine).
Anyways, the documentation didn’t mention anything about installing the payment plugin.
On their support page, they advise to uninstall the theme.
it is kind of crazy for me to be forced to choose a theme that will work with my theme. I am not going to do that. I prefer to buy another plugin.
By the way, the free version of VFB worked. it means the template didn’t block the plugin & it is a bug of the VBF pro version.
In fact, the issue was related to the fact that the credentials were not installed.
I had to install the plugin called members.
Then, i went to users > roles (option added by members plugin) > administrator
Then i clicked on “add new capabilities”
Then, i added all the roles from this page
    https://support.vfbpro.com/support/solutions/articles/4000045573-custom-admin-user-permissions
    and it worked.
