No thumbnail, no anything

I have just installed the Dynamic Gallery and am very excited about its features. However, after the installation and activation the gallery is not showing thumbnails anymore: only the featured image.

Am I doing something wrong or misunderstanding the plugin? I thought that the plugin would add a thumbnail slider, lightbox etc.
