Hi Karen, try expanding the editor area by dragging its bottom right corner to the right. Sometimes if the screen resolution is too small, the toolbar at the top gets cut off and you can’t see the icons.

Thank you for the suggestion. I just tried that, but I still cannot see the icon.

    Thanks,
    Karen

Try disabling the plugin, clear cache of your browser and re-enable it.

Also, what version of WordPress are you using?

I tried that already too, but I just tried again (no joy). 3.1.3.

    Thanks for your help,
    Karen

Nothing comes to mind… if you can give me a temp access to the backend, I’ll be willing to take a quick look. You can email me at [email protected]

    Karen,

I took the liberty to deactivate some of the plugins. I noticed that you don’t have any additional icons in the editor panel (just the default ones), I activated the MCE Table Buttons and nothing appeared on the panel. That made me think that there is some sort of conflict that prevents that buttons to be added by other plugins. Anyway, Youtube with Style is the conflicting plugin. I deactivated it and the ThickBox Content icon appeared in the editor’s panel.

Thanks so much! I should have known to try that!

I’m just glad we got to the bottom of it ?? Have a great day!

Do you think your plug-in will work if I only deactivate the YouTube with Style plugin when I need to actually need to insert something with thickbox-content (in other words, when I need to see the icon)?

I really need that YouTube with Style plugin for my Videos page. But I’m glad you figured it out! It was a pain laying out tables with HTML!

I might be able to use the SlideShowPro plugin if that won’t work.

    Thanks!

Yes, the plugin should work in the front-end even if the icon in the backend doesn’t show up.
