I have two language on my site – English and Russian. All products are made in English and Russian versions and they are synchronized correctly – when clicking to Russian flag, name and attributes are changing. Cross-sells and up-sells are NOT. I have identically same cross-sells for Russian and English products. Adding Russian cross-sell product for Russian version will automatically add it to English product and vice-versa.
    Very annoying.

You are supposed to translate the tags!

If you don’t want to do that you can go to Settings, woopoly, features and turn off Tags …

Let’s say you have a tag called “Blue” in English.
You translate the tag to Russian, and then every time you tag a product as Blue in English then the Russian translation of the product will automatically get the tag синий or whatever is the translation of blue in the target language

I understand the situation with tags and edited my original post. Tags are ok now. But Cross-sells are still the issue

I’ve tried switch OFF synchronization of Cross-sells in Metas list. The outcome is that I can have individual Cross-sell products for English and Russian version on the backend.

However, on the front end Cross-sell names depends on the language of original product added to the cart. So, if I added Russian cot to the cart, I will see Russian cross-sells on the cart page. If I change language to English – everything will become in English, EXCEPT cross-sells. And the other way round. So cross-sells “remember” what language has been set when “mother” product has been added to the cart.

Yes that may be partly true.
Please open a separate issue on GitHub for that.

Note that if you added Russion cot to the cart it will always be Russion cot in the cart: if you switch languages, the cart contents do not change, the system simply shows you the new language if a translation is available. (if there is no translation the Russian product will still be shown even if you have switched language to English).
So the system is showing the cross sells for the product actually in the cart.
    Could that be changed? possibly.
but that would be a requirements and programming detail discussion for github.

In the meantime I believe everyone else leaves these synchronisation options turned on – you double the maintenance work if you turn synchronisation options off…

The Russian cot will be the Russian cot, yes. But cross-sells for this Russian cot are the same as for the English cot, if synchronization is ON. So two options are available in this case:
    – Russian cot has a Russian cross-sell and English cot has a Russian cross-sell or
    – Russian cot has English cross-sell and English cot has the English cross-sell.
It is visible even on the backend.

Please open a separate issue on GitHub which clearly explains what is the behaviour you are seeing and what you expect to see instead.

It is clearly stated in the plugin overview and pinned topic that support is not available on this forum.

And in the long run, you will find your shop much easier to manage if you synchronize and translate everything.
