No support for South Africa?

  • Hi.

    I was very interested in your plugin so I installed it. I soon discovered that the plugin does not support the Rand (ZAR) currency and also does not recognise PayFast as a payment gateway. PayFast is very popular in South Africa.

    It would be nice to get some feedback from you on whether you’ll consider offering your plugin to South Africa and if so, when you intend to do so?

    Payfast is in active development right now. We will be offering it as soon as we can. We’ll promote it via our newsletter.

    I have followed the above forum discussion with abated breath. I can also not wqait to give it 6 stars!

    Almost done with a large NPO’s website and the lack of a ZAR currency for donations is one of the only few outstanding matters.

    Failing a response back from you to my earlier posts… I got hold of the PayFast developers who claim that they are not aware of any planned integration scheduled between their PayFast payment gateway plugin and your Give donation plugin. They did say that there could be a 3rd party developer doing something but they don’t know?

    Please can you provide some clarity on this… in line with your earlier posts where you said the following… “Payfast is in active development right now. We will be offering it as soon as we can (Your said “This quarter” – 3 months ago). We’ll promote it via our newsletter.”

    I promised not to hold you to that date but I’m still hopeful that something will be released by the end of the second quarter of 2016 that will enable me to meet beta release deadline.

    If you could please just give me an picture of where things currently stand, then I can make a decision on whether to wait or go a different route.
