no such file or directory

  • Hi there,
    I keep getting this message:

    Warning: include(admin-footer.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/forevew0/public_html/health/wp-admin/edit.php on line 239

    It comes up continually, everytime I click on something in my panel. It will always tell me a different line no.

    I understand that files may not have installed proporly, but not sure how to fix. I have version 5.2

    I have searched for answers in wordpress forum, but since I don’t have a lot of experience I am unable to follow some of the answers given.

    I would appreciate it if someone could explain to me very simply what I am to do. I am with Bluehost cPanel and loaded wordpress through them. I have contacted them also about this, have not heard as yet. I don’t know if this helps at all…..

  • You will want to learn how to use something like FileZilla to delete and upload WordPress files.

    You might want to delete the wp-admin folder and upload that folder.

    I have filezilla already, will look into it.

    I get very similar errors whenever I try to do anything on my dashboard (look at Plug-ins, go to Appearance, etc). I’m using an FTP. I have tried deleting the offending plug-in and reinstalling it, without luck. Perhaps I am confused by this:

    You might want to delete the wp-admin folder and upload that folder.

    I need to delete the wp-admin folder and then upload *which* other folder?

    Any advice?
