    Hi,

I have created a series of forms within the WordPress admin dashboard. I have added the sign up widget in my sidebar and also one using the shortcode, both visible on my site.

I created my list within Mail Chimp and I have selected my list to use within the settings in WordPress.

However when I enter an email address and sign up to test. MailChimp still says 0 subscribers even though after clicking ‘sign up’ button i get a success / confirmation message on the page.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks

My list works when i select:

    Double opt in = No.

I have read it should be selected to Yes… Any idea what the issue could be here and how to fix?

    Hey @tinkertravels,

The “Double opt-in” option is used to prevent spam and to allow a user to verify their email address before it’s added to your MailChimp.com list. When “Double Opt-in” is turned on, the user gets an email from MailChimp.com with a link to verify their email address. Since the email is sent by MailChimp.com we do not control it. It could take few seconds to few hours for a user to get the email, and we are aware of delivery issues where some users do not get the email at all.
