• On my individual product pages, breadcrumbs currently look like this:
Home > Category > Product Name

I want them to also include subcategories, like this:
    Home > Category > Subcategory 1 > Subcategory 2 > etc. > Product Name

Breadcrumbs are working as I want elsewhere in the store.

I’ve found other posts on this topic, but so far no clear solutions.

  • Hello,

Please go to Appearance > Customize > General Options > Page Title, from here select the product taxonomy as Category.
Go to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and set the category-based permalinks, and check.

Are you using any SEO plugins?

If not resolved, please share the website URL to check the issue.

Thanks for the tip, @abhikr781. I haven’t been able to figure it out quite yet.

Please go to Appearance > Customize > General Options > Page Title, from here select the product taxonomy as Category.

    Done.

Go to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks, and set the category-based permalinks, and check.

I’m a bit confused about the last part of that instruction: “set the category-based permalinks, and check.”
I tried switching Product permalinks from Custom base to Shop base with category, but when I try to save changes it reverts to Custom base. I’m not sure if that was even what you were recommending I try. Sorry, but please explain again!

    I’m using AIOSEO.

Here’s an example product page: https://carrickseeds.ca/shop/legumes/beans/dolloff-bean/
The breadcrumbs show Home>Legumes>Dolloff bean, but I want it to include the subcategory “Beans,” thus: Home>Legumes>Beans>Dolloff bean.
