I′ve updated wordpress and this Stripe plugin a few days ago, resulting in only failed orders via Stripe gateway. There is an error appearing on the checkout page, saying that the credit card details should be added, even if they were added. I′m loosing sales because of this update and would appreciate a quick fix or help, since it worked well for the last 1-2 years.

I′ve updated from 3.0.2 to 3.0.5 and woocommerce from 2.5.5 to 2.6.4, plus WordPress from 4.5.3 to 4.6.1.

    Hello!

Sorry to hear you’re experiencing this! The first trouble-shooting step is to double-check your credentials– re-enter them from your Stripe account to make sure that’s not the problem.

Next, try switching temporarily to the default twenty sixteen theme and check if the issue persists– if it doesn’t, then something in your theme is conflicting.

If switching themes doesn’t fix it, try deactivating all the plugins except for WooCommerce and Stripe– if that corrects it, you’ve got a conflict with another plugin; activate each plugin one by one while testing for the issue.

It would be helpful to see your System Status Report— for instance, is it possible you need to update the version of PHP your site runs on?

Thank you for your response. I′ve meanwhile been able to solve the problem. The reason was an older child theme override on the checkout page. Once I′ve updated the child theme file for the checkout, everything was fine again.

So, I′m getting paying Stripe customers again ??

Pixelsonic, I have the same issue with Stripe since a few days. Everytime payment get’s declined and only shows card declined in my Stripe account log. Normally it also shows information on Events & Webhooks.

It looks like there is not enough data being sent to Stripe.

What did you do exactly do to fix this issue?

I′m using the FLATSOME theme from envato where we have changed the child theme with some customization. So the checkout page was outdated and not compatible with the newest woocommerce update anymore. I′ve just downloaded the newest FLATSOME theme update with the new childtheme and copied the newer checkout file into the child them directory, so it′s compatible with the newest woocommerce. Once I′ve done that, the Stripe extension worked again.

The weird thing is, in Test mode it works fine. But when I test a live purchase, it keeps saying card declined.

In WooCommerce – Settings – Checkout – Stripe – I UNchecked Enable Test Mode and I only pasted the 2 live credentials (deleted the other 2 test keys). That fixed it for me.
