no static page option

    Hi everyone,

    I’m new and just got my blog up-and-running. I’m using the blog.txt theme which so far, is working beautifully.

    Problem is that the static page option (options>reading) has simply disappeared. It was there when I initially set up my blog, and now it’s not.

    Any advice? The static page is one of the most important things to me.

    AHA!!! I’ve solved my own problem. I’m posting it here instead of deleting the original post because someone else might do the same thing and need this simple information.

    I had deleted the About page and although I wrote a new page to use as the static front page, I hadn’t published it. Evidently, you must have at lease one page published for the static page option to be available.
