• I have a problem sometimes with the useronline plugin.
    It sometimes produces the error…Database error: [Duplicate entry ‘1100301724’ for key 1]…for example..
    But another member posted this problem also on …

    So the question is ….why isnt it answered ?….cause it would have helped me now !
    mailing the author of the who’s online doesnt help cause he doesnt respond to mails.(not suprising)
    So anyone got any valuable imput to solve this weird error ?

  • It’s probably not answered because the plugin author hasn’t been here… or maybe he doesn’t know what’s causing it either! Sometimes plugins work well and their authors provide technical support and fix bugs, but sometimes people just release dodgy code and disappear. Either way plugins are the responsibility of their authors, not of WordPress, and if they’re not properly supported I’m afraid it’s just a risk you take when you decide to use them!

    yes i know,its always a risk but the error doesnt always shows.
    anyway its a bad thing if they dont even respond to emails…
    he has a working website and made more things for wordpress (without validating it) but the least you can do is answer mails.
    But he’s not the only one…another few wellknown developers of wordpress plugins got a mail from me with some questions but they dont answer them.
    I answer every mail i got..
    Weird…..
