• Hello all,

I just started working on my WP site for the first time since last september.

I read the changelog and updated FRS, along with some other plugins, and now my slideshows don’t show any more. I get this message:
“No slide available, click here to add a new one”

It shows on new slideshows I create now, and also on the existing ones. How do I best troublshoot this?

    Thank you.

Slides are on https://t-and-a.be/nl/ , also on many other pages.

  • Inspect your Javascript console error log to debug this. You can use the firebug extension in chrome or Firefox.you can just right click and select inspect. From there, select “console”. Refresh the page and watch for any errors.

    Hello Amitramani,

PHP is a server side language. The errors happen while generating the page. All my browser sees is some html and css coming in. So it won’t be able to detect errors that happen while the PHP is doing its thing.

    Thanks anyway for the suggestion!

I assume you are absolutely sure that there is no Javascript conflict between the two plugins?

The cause of error happening in FRS 2.1.1 is the length of self generated password in every slide is too long in WordPress 4.2, so the slide can’t be save. I think the WordPress developers reduce the post password column length in version 4.2 DB, so i reduce the password length on FRS 2.1.3, and then the plugin is working again.

    Hello Haris,

even that didn’t do the trick for me…

I’m giving up on WP. There’s always something not working, a website shouldn’t be this complicated to maintain.

The updates of all plugins individually and WP and the themes are impossible to follow, because there’s always the risk that something breaks.

    Thanks all for the help!
