    Hello Pat,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your multilingual website.

Yoast does not have a way to parse out different sitemaps for different languages because Google does not require it. We add all the languages to the same sitemap. So all posts (regardless of language) will appear on the post sitemap. Doing it this way is not expected to hurt the SEO or how Google crawls your site.

Thanks @maybellyne for the quick answer.
However in my situation, the english version of each product, I mean the url for the EN version of each product, doesn’t apoear at all in the sitemap.
    Exemple.
Fr version of a product is presnt in the sitemap : https://monsite.fr/p/produits-personnalisables/drapeau/
However the EN version doesn’t appear at all : https://mywebsite.eu/p/customisable-products/hand-waving-flags/

    Thanks for the feedback, Pat.

Your main site is https://deco-pub.fr/ (French version) while the English version is on a different domain at https://promo-product.eu/. Is this correct?

If this is the case, the main sitemap at https://deco-pub.fr/sitemap_index.xml will not contain URLs of the external domain (English version).

If you would like to add an external sitemap to the main sitemap index generated by the Yoast SEO plugin, you can refer to our documentation here.

I checked the link in the documentation and so the url https://gist.github.com/amboutwe/8cfb7a3d8f05e580867341d4ff84141d , but it is very difficult to understand and link it with my situation.
    No practical example ?
In my case my website is with a french extension, and the second language is english with a EU extension. But that means nothing in the sitemap with eU extension domain name.
    Thanks again.

As much as we hate to say it, your question goes beyond the technical expertise of me and my colleagues on the Yoast support team. This means we can’t give you a solid answer to your question.

We will keep this thread open, unless it veers too far off course, in case someone from the community is willing to provide further help here for free.
