Is it against the rule to post my sitemap link here?

Reason is I want people to comment whether my sitemap is okay or not. I’ve view a few blogs’ sitemap. Theirs are straightforward list of posts url, while mine is put into 4 mains – post, page, category, tag. Is this bad or not affecting Google crawl to my site?

    My sitemap

I know there’s nothing we can control how Google crawl our site. But I wonder if this is the reason why I’ve never got sitelinks appear when searching for my site on Google?

Even during when I post diligently for a year, I still did not get site link. Structure wise, I have carefully categorized and tag the posts.

  • The sitemap is generated by Yoast’s SEO, which is one of if not the most respective SEO plugins out there, I think the sitemap’s fine.

Sitelinks are Google’s perogative. We cannot comment on why Google doesn’t show Sitelinks. Beyond seeing if there are any errors in Google Webmaster Tools, I’d try and ask on the Google Webmaster Forums if they can help.

Thanks Rys Wynne, initially I was using Google sitemap plugin but it didn’t look good to me.

Google listed my urls like https://www.eatophilia.com/post12……the rest are all posting dates etc, without showing my post titles.

But now, looking back at my current Yoast sitemap, I just noticed that it only listed down all my categories, not individual posts (even after the drill down). And the sitemap address is actually index.xml, not sitemap.xml

    Which one is worse?

Hi, this is really weird as suddenly I have sitelinks in the google search for my site. I swear I did not have sitelinks at the time I posted this.

As said, it’s Google that decides whether to show sitelinks, but glad you got it sorted!
