    Hi,

When i send my site url in facebook messenger, if you click on the link it doesn’t show any images at all, throughout the site. They are all either grey or white.

I can only find solutions to questions re the link thumbnail- this isn’t a problem, but may be related.

Is this Yoast related? The problem started after installing Yoast yesterday

    Hi,

We’re not sure if we understand the issue. When you send the URL through Facebook Messenger and click on the link, it’s loading those 2 screenshots and the images aren’t appearing?

If you try to input the website URL in a browser(and not through Facebook Messenger), do you get the same result?

Could you also test if this issue still occurs if you disable the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin?

    Hi @mikes41720

    Thanks for the reply ??

Yeah, the screenshots are of what loads when clicking the url through fb messenger.

If I access the website through a mobile browser, there is no problem.
If I access it through the messenger link and then click ‘open in Samsung internet’, that also works fine.

If I disable Yoast SEO plugin, the problem still persists.

    Thanks,
    G

It does, however, work on my partner’s phone.

She has an iphone, I have an android.

Tested a third phone (android) which doesn’t work

    Hi,

Since you mentioned that the issue still persists with the Yoast SEO plugin disabled, this isn’t being caused by our plugin.

Perhaps you can try and check your mobile output and see if the issue might be related to that as to why the images aren’t loading when accessing the URL from Facebook Messenger.

    Hi Michael,

Fixed- turns out it was due to Divi creating mixed content issues, which was caused by setting Yoast up.

All good! Thanks for your help
