When I click checkout with PayPal on the cart page (no values entered on the cart page), I get this error message during checkout:
No shipping method has been selected. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.

Shipping option shows: Shipping costs will be calculated once you have provided your address.

Shipping details are still there on the page, imported from PayPal, but it is not calculating shipping

  • You need to have methods setup in WooCommerce, not PayPal shipping methods. We need the costs defined WC side.

If you use another gateway such as BACS you’ll see the same error. This is not specific to PPEC.

Can you please help me find where to set it up & how?

I see this, but it seems to be already set up properly.
Really awesome plugin as it removes a lot of steps for checkout & makes PayPal a convenience rather than inconvenience.

I am having the same problem. I updated to the new Woocommerce last weekend, and now people cannot order…all is well, and it shows UPS shipping and the amount, but when you go to checkout it says “no shipping method has been selected.” Is there something new or different I am supposed to do with the update? Like questionabout, above, I need to find where and how to set this up. It has been working fine for 4 years.

Shipping methods are shown on the checkout page when you come back from paypal express. In the same area as normal – if no methods match, the user may not be matching your setup zones + methods.

Ideally a link to an example site and screenshots of shipping zones/methods needed to look further. No issues my side.

I also have a fedex plugin which I turned on and turned off but that has no effect.
    Try 4x4labparts.com
pick any product and without calculating shipping try to checkout with paypal express on the cart page. You an use any USA address like
123 Main St, Edison, NJ, 08837

    Thanks!

    I solved the problem.
This one weird trick was – geolocation. “Default Customer Location” needs to be set to shop base address, at least for me. If there is some weird address on the cart page or no address at all PayPal express will not work.

    Additional findings:
    https://prntscr.com/c985kl
If I choose “Select Country” from drop down and leave it at that, it will reset to shop location (United States + a State (California for example)). In this case PayPal Express will work fine
If I choose United States and leave the State field blank
https://prntscr.com/c985kl – at “Select a State”, then PayPal Express will NOT work.

If I leave United States + California on the cart page to calculate shipping, I will get a fixed rate, for example $10, but when I enter a Canadian address in PayPal, Woocommerce will still use a USA address to calculate shipping, and it will undercharge the customer. (actual shipping would be $100 and not $10)

    Did anyone fix this?
I’m getting the same problem with the USPS account.

I’ve found out that the free shipping option doesn’t work with the new shipping zones of On check-out I get a message saying “No shipping method has been selected. Please double check your address, or contact us if you need any help.”

I’ve checked all settings in the back-end and all seems to be fine. I noticed though that in the free shipping zone there’s a setting called ‘Free Shipping Requires…’ in which you determine when the free shipping is made available. I reckon the issue might be that these parameters won’t let the check-out allow for free shipping unless they are fulfilled – and the only way to then allow the free shipping is if you allow free shipping at all times. Hope that makes sense. In other words; if you set the free shipping to only be available on orders over $102 then it won’t be available to sample products that are less than that.
    Please help me
