• There are no ALT keyword settings in the actual image gallery. When you use different languages you need to set ALT keywords differently. The gallery also swipes in from the right when it first loads each image which looks bad. A fade in looks better for the first image. The rest of the plugin is pretty good. A few updates would make this really good.

  • Hello @a4jpcom

I’m Mehedi Hasan from Spectra team. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your experience with Spectra. We value all users’ feedback as it helps us to improve.

    Regarding the concerns you shared:

Different ALT text for individual images in the Image Gallery
You can do this when you select the images for the gallery. I’ve recorded a video for you – https://d.pr/v/zOTtux

    Gallery Swipe
It has a setting that you’ll find under ‘Styles.’ Just enable ‘Hover Zoom,’ and you can choose between ‘Zoom In’ and ‘Zoom Out.’ Reference screenshot – https://d.pr/i/noOJsf

I hope it clears up any confusion. Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions. We want to ensure you have a fantastic 5-star experience. If you find it helpful and it solves your problem, would you be kind enough to update your rating?

    Regards,

Thanks for the links but that is what I mean by you can’t set the ALT tag of each gallery on each page differently. The media gallery can be changed but not the gallery. This causes a huge SEO problem.

Gallery swipe > style > doesn’t fix the problem of images moving from right to left or left to right when images load and animate in from the right or left.

The mouse over animation of zoom in or out looks good but that is not what I’m talking about.

    There is no confusion here.

Thank you for getting back, @a4jpcom

    1. you can’t set the ALT tag of each gallery on each page differently

Unfortunately, this may not be technically feasible because WordPress stores alt text per image, not per page. Its structure only allows for one alt text per image in the database. Therefore, the only solution I currently see is to have duplicate images for different pages, each with its dedicated alt text.

    2. The mouse over animation of zoom in or out looks good but that is not what I’m talking about.

To better understand the situation and offer a potential solution, could you please provide me with a screencast describing the challenges you’re facing? This will help me to understand and find the most effective solution for you.

I’m eager to hear from you and set things right for you.

    Best,

    Mehedi Hasan
