    Hello @capitancapo,

There are many security rules currently present on the website .htaccess file. You can test with the security plugin deactivated and only default .htaccess rules present on the website .htaccess file. Note that the REST API will not work if the default WordPress rewrite rules are not set there.

As I mentioned in my topic, I use iThemes Security but it is not blocking anything. I have tried disabling iThemes Security and generated a new blank .htaccess with the default options rewritten and it still gives the same error.

I found the conflict. The pluging CheckoutWC has a featured called “Side Cart”. I’ve disabled this option and it’s working again.

We have tested the case with this option enabled and no Rest API error was observed.

Could you please re-enable it and check if the issue will re-occur. If such errors are thrown, please update this thread without making changes to the site, so we can further investigate the plugins compatibility.

Thank you for your cooperation in advance!

I’ve re-enable the Side Cart option and the errors are throwning again. It’s happening also with another site that I manage.

The error happens when the SGOptimizer front page menu is selected.

    Thank you for your update.

The issue is related to the “Advanced Scripts” plugin which causes the error in case there are any errors present on the site.

You can disable its save mode in order to avoid such issues in the future and leave the website settings as they were before.

Nothing to do with the “Advanced Scripts” pluging. I’ve disabled it and the error only happen when the option Side Cart on the plugin WCCheckout is enabled.

It’s also happening in other site that I manage and the pluging “Advanced Scripts” is not installed.

Well, it is some of those plugins. Once you locate and disable it, things will work just fine.

After a while and after some updates, the plugin still conflicts with the CheckoutWC plugin when the feature called “Side Cart” is activated.

    Hello @capitancapo ,

I see that all of the settings in the SiteGround Optimizer plugin are currently enabled. I went ahead and I enabled the Side Cart feature in the CheckoutWC plugin. I then flushed the cache of the site. Checking the health status of the site did not show any issues with the REST API:

Please, double check if you still experience the issue and if you do:
    – do not make changes ti the site’s settings, so that we can recreate the issue;
    – provide step-by-step instructions where can we see the reported error.
