Thanks for reaching out @enriquecastro. Are you trying to update the latest version of Site Kit via a manual upload? I believe this upgrade-temp-backup folder is created via WordPress and not Site Kit itself, as per this guide.

As I can see you’re using Site Kit 1.106.0, can you try to upgrade via your plugins directory if not already done so (Plugins > Site Kit > Update)? If you already tried this, let me know. If you’re encountering problems with a failed update, you can deactivate and uninstall Site Kit from here. After this, once you install Site Kit the plugins repository, your Site Kit dashboard should remain intact.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. I’ll also check your query with the team regarding the temporary folder and report back to you here. Thank you.

Having the same issue with all my plugins since I installed WordPress 6.3

@sergueidob This isn’t specific to Site Kit. It’s in relation to manual plugin uploads via the plugin installer. You can reach out in the fixing WordPress forums for assistance with this.

    No funciona.

    Sorry to hear that @enriquecastro.

You don’t need to create a directory manually. Can you share what happened when you tried to install the latest version of Site Kit from the plugins page, as per this guide? You can share a recording if you wish of your experience. I can then check this with the team. You can use a service such as Loom or RecordIt to share a screen recording, while using the same form previously used to share this privately.

Hopefully we can assist you and ensure you can update Site Kit. The issue with regards the temporary plugin directory isn’t Site Kit specific. I’m confident we can determine the problem so you are able to proceed.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

Glad to hear you were able to resolve this in the end. As mentioned above, creating a temporary directory for manual plugin updates via manual uploads isn’t something specific to Site Kit or Google. As you’ll see in this guide it’s a new feature of WordPress core, with this directory you’re referring to applicable to any plugin or theme updates. If you have any queries on this you can reach out in Slack or on the fixing WordPress forums. Best of luck!
