No results displaying.

  • So initially this plugin worked, but I have discovered that somewhere along the line it stopped.

    Now, if I use the desired shortcode on a page, the content doesn’t display. Or at least it doesn’t initially, then displays an error that there is a problem with the page and to contact the administrator.

    I’m guessing it’s an issue with the number of results it’s trying to return (there are over 1,000).

    This is the shortcode I was using:

    [a-z-listing post-type=”post” a-z-listing taxonomy=”category” terms=”horror-reviews”]

    Is this a virtual memory issue or are results capped? And is there a way around this?

    Yes, I suspect this is a server resources issue where the server is running out of memory while building the list. I still haven’t worked-out a way to mitigate this problem, but I have been working on it. For now, the only way forward (besides getting a different or bigger server, which is not acceptable :-)) is to try to limit your listing’s size via adding further terms to the posts and filtering to a smaller subset (again this is really not desirable, but it’s all I’ve got for now :-().
