• Hello there!

This is probably the most useful plugin I came across!! Thank you for creating it, great work!

There has been a lot said about “no results”, but not sure if any of them fits my issue. I am complete noob when it comes to coding so it could be that I am not sure if I am doing the correct thing.

I looked for search.php file and there are a couple I found – one that sits in Relevanssi folder, and one that sits in my theme folder (Flavor). In neither one I can find call_post or other lines that were mentioned as potential troublemakers. In fact Flavor’s search.php is very simple and literally has only one line… weird?

Worth mentioning that I am using Events Calendar Pro and I would like to search only for tags.

    Help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks
    Maciej

It’s the one in the Flavor folder. One line sounds like a framework theme to me, and in that case it’s possible the theme is simply incompatible with Relevanssi.

However, there are some things we can check. Restaurant site, right? Then I guess you might be using Yoast Local SEO. If that’s the case, then check this out.

    Hi Mikko,

    Thanks for a quick reply!

It is possible it is framework as I think quite a few things are built this way.

I am promoting local events (so not a restaurant site, but close guess!) and also I am unfortunately not using Toast Local SEO.

This is absolutely crucial plugin for me Mikko so thanks again for building it and for all the support. Any idea how else I could fix that?

    Thanks!!

Can you disable the theme for a moment and see if Relevanssi works then? That would help to check if the problem is in your theme or somewhere else.

    Hi Mikko,

Yes it seems to be theme related as when I switched it off it showed some results.

Any idea how can this be amended?

    Thanks!!

Depends on your theme. Given that there’s no search results template, it isn’t something that can be simply fixed in a child theme. Since it’s a premium theme, I can’t see it and thus can’t tell. In any case, editing the theme so that it works goes unfortunately beyond what I can do here. I’d recommend hiring a WP developer to take a look at the problem.

Thanks Mikko for your help. I am going to try to speak to theme support team and see if they can advise on how to fix this.

    Keep up doing great work!!

    Thanks
    Maciej
