    Hello.

Unable to activate Site Kit for a new domain on my account.

After going through the Site Kit OBE, and logging-in with my Google Account, and allowing Site Kit to access my Google Account, I received the following message in WordPress:

No request found for this application.

    URL: https://asfr.org/wp-admin/index.php?oauth2callback=1&code=sitekit-UqHvbnWv4br8i8xfofd8uF

    Google Account: [email protected]

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear you’ve been unable to setup the plugin on this site. So we can understand your setup better please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can share privately via this form.
    2. At what stage do you encounter this message? (after clicking on a particular button during the setup process)
    3. Have you been able to setup Site Kit successfully with other sites on this same server, and using the same Google account?

We also have some general troubleshooting steps on the plugins website. Attempting setup using a Chrome browser incognito window in particular is one troubleshooting step you can take.

I apologize for opening this. The problem seemed to be caused by a plugin compatibility. I was able to get Site-Kit to complete the onboarding experience after disabling all other plugins on my site. Not sure which plugin was the culprit. Though it might have been all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall.

In case anyone is interested, here are my other plugins:

    • advanced-ads
    • all-in-one-wp-security-and-firewall
    • amp

Many thanks for providing an update, nice troubleshooting. There may be particular configurations with your optimization and security plugins which have the potential to impact setup, but that’s great to know you’re now connected.

Should you encounter any such issues with other sites you can also try the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, which can be useful for trying to locate the source of possible conflicts.

When using in “Troubleshooting” mode it deactivates all plugins and switches to a default WordPress theme for you only, as a logged in administrator. You can then enable plugins one by one while checking for setup issues.

Thanks again for using Site Kit. And be sure to share your thoughts now that you can navigate through and test out the various dashboards.

Buddypress is common, and that was my mistake on my own website as well.
