    Hi

somehow, my registrations are not working properly: when I try to subscribe the the newsletter using either the newsletter page or the newsletter widget, there is no confirmation e-mail, the subscriber is not added to the list and also they are not being redirected to the dedicated newsletter page.

However, when I subscribe using the pop up (from the leads addon) or through the wpforms integration, everything works.

What might be helpful to know: the site is a migration from an older site (where everything worked as expected) and in the meantime I’ve also re-created the dedicated newsletter page.

    Thanks
    Patrick

Could be your subscription forms have an “action” pointing to the old site? Especially if they are hand coded forms.

    Stefano.

Could be, yes – but how do I change this then, I can’t find anywhere where I can change the “action”?

Also: I didn’t hand code the forms, just added some text to the newsletter page (it’s also an elementor page)

Another update: it looks like you’re right. When I add the [newsletter_form] shortcode to another page, everything works fine and the subscriber is added.
However, how can I change this (i.e. the action) on the dedicated page and on the widget?

You should look at the widget and find out IF it is pure HTML code and not, for example, our widget.

    Stefano.

It was the widget, not HTML code.
I did find a workaround now using the WPForms integration (which I actually like a little better, because of the “AJAX-Send” function), but just wanted to make you aware that the issue still persists.

It’s actually similar to other issues I found in this forum, i.e. after submitting, shortly a URL with /?na=s appears, but then the homepage pops up again.

Hi, the problem is clear now: open the Newsletter main setting and check the dedicated page option: probably it is misconfigured.

No sure whether this was/is the problem. While trying to fix the error I did set up a completely new dedicated page (and linked that on the main settings page), but that did not solve the issue.

Where can I find the non-working form?

    Thread Starter pboch

    (@pboch)

    Here: https://cyberprotection-magazine.com/newsletter/

I temporarily changed the wpform on there to the regular [newsletter] shortcode and switched this page to be the dedicated page – so settings-wise this should be correct, right?

The process seems ok, a first post, the a second one automatic from our antibot but the final answer should contain a header Location wich is not there.
    Maybe a server configuration?

I think we’re getting closer: try https://cyberprotection-magazine.com/newsletter-test/ – I set this up as dedicated page, too now – but this time it is working.

I don’t see any difference between this page and the other one, except that there is more text on the one you tried previously

Some redirect or configuration at the server level? A folder named newsletter in the blog root dir? A cache? Just to explore some possibilities!

Ah – thanks, that could be it. I’ve originally migrated the site to a different domain, but then changed the domain afterwards. I’ll have a look, thanks.
