• Resolved CSchoonover

    (@cschoonover)

I’m working on adding this into my sidebar. I’ve seen a few others talking about this same problem, but I don’t think there has been a solution suggested. There are no errors when I try the test configuration. I’ve made sure that the privacy settings are set to all countries and it is out of development mode.

I’m working on this for a client and this is the only plugin that allows customized css. Is this error because of Facebook’s recent updates?

Here is the page I’m working on.

Please let me know if there is a solution, or if I should move on and try a different plugin.

  • Danny,
My recent facebook post was working fine, but quit working some time back. when i test configuration, i shows to be working fine. Nothing shows up on my home page. https://www.sonsofthunder.biz

    Same problem here ;-(

I just installed it and got the same thing.

I have the same issue–test configuration shows success yet no feed to the website. I have tried everything I can think of – is the plug in faulty?

I have the plugin working on one site and i have installed it now on another site and it’s not working. Same error as above.

I do not think that there will be a solution as he adressed to this post 5 months ago and there is no solution untill now.

I will install another plugin and give this one a low number..

I am having the same issue. I am able to get the plugin to work although it defeats the purpose. If I go into plugin settings and clear cache, then reload the page, my facebook post show up. Hopefully this helps anyone until a fix is made available.

    Hey all,

Sorry for the late reply, have been crazy busy and not being able to replicate the issue wasn’t really helping either.

A helpful user managed to find the culprit and posted the issue to GitHub. I just updated the plugin to version 2.0 which should address the “no posts” issue.

Please remember that the plugin is designed to only work with public Facebook (fan) pages, not personal profiles.

Hope that helps, let me know if it still doesn’t work for you.

I am having the same issue. I just updated the plugin to its version 2.0 and I still have the success message saying the configuration seem okay but the widget shows “No recent Facebook posts to show”.

Thanks for the effort Danny. Hope you can think of a fix. Thank you.

    Hi clementt,

Hmm, that’s weird. Which Facebook page are you fetching posts from? And can you try going to “Settings > Recent Facebook Posts” and clearing the cache.

I am trying with this page https://www.facebook.com/latess49
Clearing the cache doesn’t seem to do anything.

    Thank you

I am actually wondering if it could be an issue from Facebook or I don’t know…

I just tried as well using the Activity Feed that facebook provides..and it actually can’t show my posts either.

    Hi clementt,

I just tested the plugin with your page and it worked for me.

I’ve just pushed out another update of the plugin which will show you a more detailed error message if anything in the connection to Facebook fails. Can you give that a try to see if that gives us a hint of what’s going on?

Awesome. Thank you so much Danny. I will test tomorrow morning ??

Ok so I updated the plugin and I still get the success message about the configuration but still no Facebook feed pulled.

Did you test with the page ID or slug?
I think my Facebook app is working correctly, it is active. I tried with another one I have and I get the same issue. Message is still the same :S

    Thanks for the efforts.
