No Publish/Format/Categories on Add New Post Page

    I am new to WordPress. I am using 4.2.2 version. I am on the “Add New Post” page. There are no Publish Format or Categories boxes. There is just one empty box surrounded by dashed lines. How do I get the missing boxes? Is there some setting I’m unaware of?

    I deleted my original download of WordPress. I called GoDaddy and set up a new, current account, downloaded the latest WordPress. On my add a post and add a page pages I do not have a “Publish” button. i am logged in as admin. Can someone help me? I have spent hours and hours on this.
