There have been a strange issue going on with one of our blog. The problem started about 2 months ago, and it is not plugin conflict since same issue is reproducible without any plugin as well.

There is only one user on blog, which is site admin.

When we want to write a new post, we get only two buttons “save draft” and “Submit for Review” and there is not any publish button shown which prevents us to post new blog entries.

    Any help is greatly appreciated

Resolved, the issue is using all the available database/hosting space ??

I had the same problem and it was database/hosting space issue :). Thank you guys for your help!

I discovered a similar problem (among others) after transferring a development WordPress site to its live server. It turns out that the during the transfer, primary keys for many of the data tables were no longer set to “auto increment” which prevented WordPress from adding new records. This problem was true for pages, posts, comments, menus, etc. Toggling auto increment on the applicable tables solved my problem.

    Hi mhmtozek & pozytywnakuchnia,

So when you found out that the problem is the database / hosting issue, what did you do next?

Did you move your site to something like a dedicated server, or move to a better hosting plan with more space?

I am having the same problem, and am planning to move my site to a dedicated server, but I am not sure if it will solve the problem.

SOLVED that is my problem “auto increment” on primary keys are gone
