$messages = fetch_rss(‘https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/’.$item[‘username’].’.rss’);

to

$messages = fetch_rss(‘https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/’.$item[‘username’].’.rss’);

Then leave it a couple of hours.

What file does that code go in? We’re having the same problem.

There is only one .php file in the plugin.

Hi! I Have the same problem, I′ve done the modification on the twitter.php file. But stil saying: No public Twitter messages

The Widget is:

Showtimestamp: Unchecked

Linked: Blank

Discover Hyperlinkd: Unchecked
Discover replays: Unchecked

UTF8Enconde: Checked

Hi, twitter have updated their API so whichever plugin you are using you need to find this url:

https://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/

and replace it with this:

https://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline

Then leave it for a couple of hours to propagate.

I’ve updated the file and I’m still seeing no public tweets. I even visited the feed directly and the tweets are right there.

Any ideas?

Yeah you have to leave it a while to propagate ..

Have you changed both occurrences? I would just double check everything and leave it again.

Yeah, I even had Coda search for any instances of the old URL and it couldn’t find any.

The correct code is:
