    Hi,

If we carry out a search for particular products on our website, it finds multiple mataches.
If I then change the “Default sorting” drop down to any of the options for example “Sort by price: Low to High” the initial search is lost with a message no match found.

Ideally it would be good to have the search results back and then sort them by any of the options available in the drop down list.

Is there a fix for this or is it something to do with the settings?

    Thank you

    Hi Steve,

Did you find any relevant to the Products Per Page plugin? Going from your message and my own testing I can’t find where this is related to the WooCommerce Products Per Page plugin.

    Let me know!

    Cheers,
    Jeroen

    Hi Jeroen

Sorry, I didn’t quite understand your reply. The plug in I am relating to is yours.

As mentioned above: “If we carry out a search for particular products on our website, it finds multiple matches. If I then change the “Default sorting” drop down to any of the options for example “Sort by price: Low to High” the initial search is lost with a message no match found.

    Many thanks

    Hi Steve,

My WooCommerce Products Per Page doesn’t add / do / modify anything related to the sorting dropdown, and going from your message the PPP doesn’t seem to be in the workflow you’re describing.

Could you please clarify if I’m missing something here? / how this is related to the PPP plugin?

    Thank you,

    Ok, here is the plugin:

    Plugin

When we carry out a search on any products (here we have used hanna), results are returned:

    Results

We then change the drop down as shown:

    Drop Down

When the drop down is changed, the initial search result has gone where it should show our results in the option selected from the drop down menu:

    Drop Down

Is there a fix for this?

    Hi Steve,

You could try to set the ‘shop column’ setting to a different value then 0, I’m not sure how the plugin reacts to that value.

Other then that, you can try to disable the plugin and see if the same thing still happens then. I still cannot confirm whether the PPP is involved in this since the sorting dropdown isn’t part of the plugin.

    Let me know!

    Thank you,

Hi, tried changing the value but that still hasn’t worked.

Are you saying the “Sorting” drop down is not part of your plug-in?

    Thanks

    Hi Steve,

That is correct, the ‘sorting’ is part of WooCommerce core, and the ‘products per page’ is only part of this plugin.

    Hi Steve,

Just out of curiosity are you using something like Relevanssi to improve the product search?

    Kind Regards

    Hi
Not on this website but I am aware of the plugin.
In the end there was a conflict between the PPP plugin and Woocommerce. A coder sorted this out for us and the site is now working.

    Hi Steve,

Glad to hear its working now on your site ??

Do you know what exactly the conflict was here? Was it related to something in your theme too or ..?

    Enjoy your weekend!

    Cheers,
    Jeroen
