no primary child category in breadcrumb

since last major update 14 Yoast deprecated primary categories. When you have more than one child category for your product, you can still make one of them primary, but without effect: it does not appear in the breadcrumb anymore (breadcrumb now shows first child category in alphabetical order instead). Can we have it back? (in fact it was the only reason I installed this huge Yoast plugin)
