• Okay, found two new problems.

    1) When I go to look at the themes (I have successfully uploaded 3 new themes) I don’t see previews, only blank light grey squares next to the theme’s name. I assume the boxes are supposed to show a preview? I can change the theme no problem.

    2) When I open “Write”, the only formatting buttons I see are bold, italics, split post and help. The other ones are clickable but not visible. Also, the menu on the right side of this page looks all messed up, the Discussion, Post password etc buttons are all grainy-looking.

Is this another “re-upload your files”-problem? I’ve uploaded the whole wp-content folder once, and the themes folder separately once, and this didn’t help the first problem.

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance.

  • I am really new, just starting WP, but I figured out the lack of previews on themes that you uploaded. Some of the themes you upload do not have a ‘screenshot’ file and/or jpg. The preview is looking for a jpg named screenshot to fill that with. I went back to where I uploaded the theme from, copied their screenshot, took to my graphic program, sized to 300 pixels by 225 pixels, compressed jpg, saved as ‘screenshot’, moved it into the theme file on my server. Then when I went to the control panel the preview is there – the one I made.

The other item I’m not sure of – yet!
