    Susie,

A new child theme will have all options set to the defaults. If you are migrating from a parent theme you have already customized, check the box labeled “Copy Menus, Widgets and Other Options to Child Theme” and rebuild again.

If you continue to have trouble, please post a screen shot to our contact form

    Thanks

I thought maybe that I hadn’t checked that box, so I deleted both the child themes that I created and started again, following the video. What worries me, Lilaea, is that when I try to test the child theme with a live preview, I simply get the panel at the side. When I look at that, the details of the site header and tagling are there, but when I look at the Header Image slot,it says that there is no image.

Please note, that other than the grey panel at the side, there is no Live Preview!

I will send a screen shot if you with but there is nothing to see except the grey side panel on the left

    Susie,

This is being caused by a fatal error somewhere in the child theme php code. I am sending you instructions to enable debugging on your site so we can take the next steps.
