We are afraid we have big indexing problems due to a wrong plugin settings.
With any word key, infact, in google we have only few results come out as ‘tag’, no news or post.
Consider that we have about 20 thousand news items and have been working for ten years. This has slowly gone worse and worse in recent years, we believe we remember since we activated the plugin, about 4 years ago.
Can anyone help us with post item indexing settings of plugin please?
Thanks Mattia and happy new year

  • Hi,

We would like some more information.

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v12.8? If you update, does the issue resolve? This guide explains more about how to update: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-premium-plugin/.

2.Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.3.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    3. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    4. Are you using Yoast sitemaps? These need to be enabled. You can do so by going to SEO-General-Features and enabling them. Be sure to then remove any other sitemap plugins and delete your existing sitemaps in Google Search Console. Doing so will not hurt the SEO of the site. Then add the Yoast ones. This guide explains more: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/submit-sitemap-search-engines/#google
