No post title appearing on shortcode version

  • I’ve used the Advanced Recent Posts plugin on two websites recently and on both of them the post title does not appear on the shortcode version.

    I am using the responsive grid layout on both websites but I tried the plugin using the other layouts and still didn’t get the post title. The time and date do show though.

    Here is one of the websites where the plugin has been used on the homepage (new site, one post so far). It should show the post title and the date (not the time) but only the date is there.

    Also, only the image links to the post – I guess the post title should do as well if it was showing up? Thanks ??

  • Did you solve it somehow? Because I saw on your site that you have title now.

    I have same issue, but I have problem only with responsive grid (basic and thumb work ok).

    The title on some posts shows, on others don’t. If I make that post (where title won’t show) a featured post I’ll get his title on responsive grid, but for some posts I need the excerpt and this just doesn’t solve it.

    Subtitle is showing, time and date… everything else works. Best plugin I found for post preview so I would really like it to work full on!

    I did solve it – it was my own fault! I’d removed the title on the homepage using a filter in functions.php, so it was removing *all* the titles (think they’re H1) from the homepage.

    Shame though, that the title in the plugin has the same name, it would be good to be able to remove the title from the homepage but not the blog posts titles.

    You’re right! I’m using ‘remove title’ plugin, and as soon I brought page title, titles on blog posts in grid appeared

    …and they’re all the same as a pege headline, but what the hell ??

    See how many “Bogatstvo” (it’s in Serbian) titles are there

    Thanks for pointing me in a right direction, I can do something about it now. I was totaly clueless.

    Pretty sure developer will fix it and make this plugin even more badass.
