Right now the plugin does not support updating the existing button, but that is coming in a future version release.

Please let me know which drop down options you were attempting to add and I will see if I can recreate the problem so I can get it fixed.

I haven’t had any problems with the drop downs to this point, but I’ll go through your steps exactly and see if I can reproduce it. It could have something to do with the characters you’re using in the option values. Might need to adjust the encoding on the value since you’re using the ü and ? characters.

I’ll check it out and get back to you shortly. If I’m able to reproduce it we’ll get it fixed and get an update released ASAP.

Where does it save the form options? So I could adjust them in the editor…

If you used a hosted button that’s all saved in the PayPal system. We didn’t quite have the update ready yet, but it’s planned for the 1.1 version release along with Inventory Control and a few other things that we’ll probably between now and then.

Bear with us and we’ll get this thing shined up nicely. ??

I’m working on this button now, but I’m a little confused about the pricing. You said you entered 50 for the amount, but then you’re adding pricing options and I’m confused there. Is the price for the option both 16, or is the 16 part of the name of the option?

Could you provide a screenshot of exactly how you have that filled out?

    Thread Starter npress

Hmm I have the impression that this plugin doesn’t fit our needs because we need the price to be multiplied with the second dropdown…

Ok, I filled everything out according to your screenshots and the button seems to be functioning as expected for me. Take a look at this sample page: https://woo.angelleye.com/sample-page/

Scroll down to the “npress Test” section and you’ll see the button has both options there available. You’re saying, though, that the drop downs are not showing up for you..??

As for the functionality you’re looking for to multiply the first option by the second, that is not something this is setup to do, and I do not believe you can do that with PayPal’s button manager either, can you? We really just replicated that one for now, but this is an interesting bit of feedback you’re providing. We could potentially add that as a new feature in the future.

    Thanks for your help.
I tried it again, this time with directly clicking on the “add” button.
    But still no luck.

    Will try another solution.

Are you clicking the “Done” button after adding the drop down options? It’s actually in your first screenshot but it doesn’t look like it was clicked.

    (@angelleye)

Actually, your second screenshot looks like it was clicked, so that must not be it.

Is the button you’re seeing on my sample page what you’re expecting but not getting on your site?

    Thread Starter npress

    (@npress)

Exactly. The button appears, but not the dropdowns and the labels. Strange, isn’t it?

Anyway, for my intention I have found now a ticket-sales plugin which perfectly fits our needs.

    Thanks for your help.

For future reference it sounds like there must be something in your theme hiding the drop downs or something strange like that, because that sample button was built using the plugin and it is working as expected.

If you want to send me your button HTML for that button I’ll drop it in my theme to see if we can verify that.

Otherwise, I’m glad you found something that suits your needs. Closing this thread but let me know if you have any other questions.
