No plugin can be installed

  • I rut WP in a subfolder https://www.vitisaureus.hu/utazasabalatonkorul
    Theme is the default
    I can create pages, etc. but i can not install plugins
    anytime i would like to install a plugin, I am asked for the database pwd, and after i enter it i ge:

    Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in
    /usr/home/kallaiszilard/vitisaureus.hu/utazasabalatonkorul/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-filesystem-ftpsockets.php on line 303

    wp folder (wp-content) can not be found.

    i tried several plugins, same result

    How could i solve this?

    I think that you are actually asked for your FTP login details.

    yep, right.

    This is due to the configuration of your server. WordPress cannot download files without the FTP login details.

    in that case, what if i enter the ftp pw but still not able to install the plugin.

    If you enter the ftp password, it should allow the upload, if it still doesn’t, you’ll need to contact your hosting provider and have them replicate the issue so they can reconfigure your hosting settings.
