    Hi.
Looks like the perfect audio player, but having created a new list for use with twentyfourteen, no play button appears on the page – only the list of songs that wont play no matter what I click.
    Have tried various shortcodes.
This is a new instal of the site/theme etc.
Would be great to see this working.
    Cheers.

    Hi Harty,

I’ve just installed WordPress 3.9.1 using Twentyfourteen theme on:

    https://nathalie.webartisan.ch/

I’ve then installed Soundy Audio Playlist Plugin, clicked on the Test button in Soundy Audio Playlist’s settings, clicked on Save Changes and inserted the [sdy_pl playlist] in the home page of the site. Have also enabled Soundy Audio Playlist for this page.

From my browser (Chrome on Mac), the playlist appears with the full user interface: play/pause button, volume control, time control, previous and next button. I can click and double-click and the soundtracks are played.

It might be a browser issue. What browser are you using?

Do you have a link to your site?

    Thanks

    Hi.
I’m using the latest version of firefox on a Mac.
Also, I altered the colours of the player etc, but the player appears gray in my browser window.
    The site is not live.
    Cheers.

How does the playlist on https://nathalie.webartisan.ch/ for you ? Correctly ?

If yes, it’s not a browser issue.

Sorry, yes, I see, there is a problem. When I was logged in as Admin it worked but for anonymous users, it does not work.

    Looking at this.

Hi. Happy to help work through this, but I need to go. I will return in 14 hours.
There are so few list players around, so am looking forward to using it.
    Cheers for now.

    I fixed the problem.

You should see the playlist on https://nathalie.webartisan.ch

Thanks, yes that looks fine on your website.
Is there an updated version being released? V1.1?
    Cheers.

No, for now there is only V1.0, as long as I don’t find any major bug.

Okay – so you have it working, that’s good. Looks like I must have a plugin conflict that’s preventing your plugin working on my new site.
I’ll let you know what I find.

The plugin has been thoroughly tested before being released.

If you follow the procedure below, there is no reason why the plugin should not work.

    • Install Soundy Audio Playlist Plugin
    • Click on the Test button in Soundy Audio Playlist’s settings
    • Click on Save Changes
    • Insert the [sdy_pl playlist] short code in any page of the site.
    • Enable Soundy Audio Playlist for this page.

And the playlist will appear in this page with the default play/pause button and the default colors and look & feel.

    Hi.
What’s the procedure to show custom colours and my own music tracks?

To have your own soundtracks inserted in the playlist:

    1. Go to Settings > Soundy Audio Playlist
    2. In the Playlist tab, click on the Clear button to clear all current soundtracks from the list.
    3. Fill out the fields at the bottom of the tab, at least the URL of your first soundtrack.
    4. Click on the Add button.
    5. To add an other track, click on the Clear button at the very bottom of the tab. This Clear button clears all the soundtrack fields: URL, title, artist, etc. Fill out the fields, at least the URL and click on the Add button.

To change the look and feel of the playlists inserted with the [sdy_pl playlist] short code:

    1. Go to Settings > Soundy Audio Playlist
    2. Go to Playlist CSS tab
    3. Ensure that “Use CSS and Playlist Designer” is checked.
    4. Go to Playlist Designer tab
    5. Use the sliders and input fields to customize the look & feel of the playlists inserted with the [sdy_pl playlist] short code.
    6. Click on “Save Changes” button
    7. View the page where you use the [sdy_pl playlist] short code and you will see the playlist with the new soundtracks and the new look & feel.
