No pins show in Facebook app browser

  • For some reason if we use the Facebook app and a link to the store locator no pins show initially or using search. If we click the … menu and force Facebook to open the page in a browser the pins show. So the problem isn’t that the store locator doesn’t work on mobile (it does) it just doesn’t work through Facebook, but that is where we are promoting it. Ideas?

    Hi there,

    It is difficult to know exactly what limitations do Facebook impose on their embedded browser in their app. But if they for some reason do restrict some javascript capabilities, either for performance or security reasons, those limitations could potentially mess with javascript-rich plugins like Wp Store Locator.

    Also, have you considered raising this issue with Meta support directly to see if they can provide more insights into the limitations of their embedded browser?
