If I reshare it manually, it works! But I need it to do it automatically, why does this happen?
I think the issue here is that when LinkedIn crawls your site at the time of share it’s getting a broken page and that’s why the preview image is not working. It probably has to do with the server response times, I have seen this before. You may need to share manually after, or consider getting the pro version which supports the media file endpoint for LinkedIn.
Hi there, I am not convinced by your reply. What is the use of free version then if we have to go for pro version? The images need to show either in Simple or Advanced mode but unfortunately they are not being displayed. Manual sharing again is a time consuming process and to overcome this only this particular plugin was installed and it’s difficult to do half posting by this plugin and another one by manually.
You need to recheck and find a solution to this problem.
Thank you.Hi @pradeepkamadana,
The free version works for most people. You said manually sharing again is time consuming, yes fair point, but can you confirm by sharing manually again later does make the image work ok? Because if that is the case then it can help me provide specific information/instruction to you as to what is going on.
It would also be helpful to please provide a link to the post being shared so I can run some tests on it. You need to understand that how this process works is LinkedIn is crawling your shared link for images, it’s not a process of our plugin sending an image to LinkedIn, so it’s a little complicated. Thank you,
Thanks a lot.
Extremely sorry for the late response due to New Year eve commitments. Kindly bear with me.
I will be responding to this particular thread from here only and you can ignore other responses or replies hereafter as advised by you.
I am giving you the details of my site and the links of posts in LinkedIn which were auto posted there for your information.Post link from my site:

This is my site link:
https://snooper-scope.in

Hope this information is sufficient to find out right solution to my concern.
If any further information is required, I will be glad to provide that.
Thank you.Hi @pradeepkamadana,
You missed one of my main key questions:
Can you confirm by sharing manually again later does make the image work ok?Thanks ??
Hi, i am new to wordpress and hitting the same issue.
I am manually publishing by clicking the button in the post side bar when edit post.
I noticed that when I select advanced the text in the box remains
New Post: [POST_TITLE] - [POST_LINK]
Does this need to be amended with [POST_EXCERPT] [POST_CONTENT] – i was expecting advanced to change what was in the box?
PHP Version: 7.4.27 Wordpress Version: 5.8.3 Plugin Version: 7.8 Do not share posts by default: 1 Share method: advanced Currently authenticated: 17/03/2022 Default share profiles: Default share message: New Post: [POST_TITLE] - [POST_LINK] Sharing to post types: ,Post Active Plugins: WordPress Importer
apologies if i used any wrong terminology, i am new to wordpress
I don’t have a live post because it doesn’t have my post picture, but you can see the post here https://www.alexbal.com/I got this working by making sure:
1. setting the share method to advanced (as instructed)
2. changing the auto populated text in the default share message box to:[POST_TITLE]
[POST_EXCERPT]this worked perfectly, hope that helps others.

Hi @scyto,
Glad to hear you came up with a good solution. Thanks for sharing ??
@scyto @northernbeacheswebsites
I just now changed the share settings as advised by @scyto So I will see how it works and will update on the same.
@amazinghightechnology manual in the sense I have to post by using the link of my post and it works perfectly and image got displayed whenever I share the posts manually on LinkedIn. As my blog was an auto one, it’s manually impossible to post while doing the edit or while posting. Hope you note this. Thank you.@scyto @northernbeacheswebsites Great it works!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. It is working and now the images are getting displayed.
@northernbeacheswebsites you need to add this update in your plugin I think.-

Thanks for the feedback @pradeepkamadana ??
i have done more testing.
1. this only works if I uncheck the don’t share in the gutenberg side bar and click update on my wordpress post.
2. if i share via any other button no image is put in the post
3. paid version suffers from similar issue – no image from any share code path (workaround in 1 above doesn’t work, would have logged it on your support website but seeing 503 error at the moment).-
