No picture after moving to production

Remove .htaccess file in the top level directory. Then, in Settings > Permalinks admin page, save the permalink settings. It will regenerate .htaccess file.

Also, remove wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_captcha directory. Contact Form 7 regenerates it next time it creates CAPTCHA.

Check Contact Form 7’s admin screen. Perhaps you will see an alert message about directory permissions.

I was aware of .htaccess and updated it accordingly for migration. However, I’ve done as you say but the problem persists, no captcha folder is created, and no alert is shown ??

Have you seen the edit page for the contact form containing CAPTCHA?

No message, sorry.

Very strange issue, but already gone live, so I was forced to use a different tool. Anyway CF7 is not discarded for future projects.

Good news. As I supposed to be, it was a nonsense.

I performed migration manually but besides 4 or 5 db queries none of the 3 or 4 migration guides I read told me about changing Settings > Media > Upload Folder. For some reason the full hosting path to development uploads was set, instead of relative ‘wp-content/uploads’.

CF7 is now running contact page in production.
