No pic in slider (Twenty Fourteen)

    Hi WP!

    I can see that this is a repeated problem, but despite of reading through a lot of support pages and doing all kinds of trouble shooting, I still haven′t resolved the problem.

    I′m using the Twenty Fourteen theme and has chosen to have a slider with 6 pics on the front page. The tag used to be “featured” (that didn′t work); I have now (as part of trying to fix it) changed it to “tagged” (and also changed it on some posts) – but the only thing showing is a gray striped pic (and not my chosen pic/post) with the post′s name in the bottom left corner. All pictures have the correct size.
    If I do not tag any post with “tagged”, nothing will show, but if I tag posts with the “tagged”, the gray pic will show.

    I used to have Jetpack, but deleted it.
    I have the “Fourteen Colors” and “Fourteen Extended” Plug-ins.

    What on earth can I be doing wrong? And how to make it right? help please!

    You need to use “featured” as the tag.

    Thank you for your quick reply.
    I have done excactly as it says, step by step. And I still only get those gray boxes! It also puts “Nothing Found” below – despite that I have 6 active posts in the blog…. And has set it up to show the latest posts (as resumen) on the front page. When I don′t tag any posts with the featured-tag, at least it shows the latest posts on the front page.
    So obviously something is wrong somewhere….?

    The page is now set to have 6 pics in the slider and 5 or 6 posts now have the featured-tag. Have a look ??
    I tried to enter from another computer, and all I get is the gray pic and “Nothing Found” below.

    Since yesterday also some of my widgets has mysteriously gone missing. But thats another thing, and I′ll ask the question under another topic.

    Any help on the above (how to get pics in the slider (that are not only gray) and to get the posts back on the front page) is highly appreciated.

    Try turning off JetPack photon module. If that doesn’t work, deactivate all your plugins -sounds like one may be causing problems.

    Hello again.

    Turning off the JetPack photon module didn′t work. I then deactivated the plug-ins one by one, and deactivating the “Fourteen Extended” plug-in did the trick! Later I activated it again, and the slider is still working ??
