    Hi, I installed your plugin and created 4 petitions (some with default settings) but not one is showing in a page by using [emailpetition id=”1″] or even in the /wp-admin/admin.php?page=dk_speakout list.
    Plugin installed today on WP 4.9.5–it_IT

  • I am also having this issue. I created 2 petitions and they are there but they do not display an ID or name and the shortcode is not working ??

    Hey there. Can you both confirm please whether you already had the plugin installed and this happened. Or have you just installed it?

    I have only had your reports of this happening, so am not sure what is the cause yet.

    OK I found the problem. 1.9.0 had a debug line left in the installer script so the petition table wasn’t being created in the database. Delete the plugin and reinstall 1.9.1 which I have just pushed to the server.

    Apologies.

    There was another problem, a typo.

    This can all be fixed quite easily if you know how to edit PHP files.

    /wp-content/plugins/speakout/includes/install.php

    on line 55 you will see

    IP_address VARCHAR(48) CHARACTER SER utf8 NULL,

    instead of SER it should be SET

    on line 121 you will see

    echo $sql_update; exit;

    Either delete the line or turn it into a comment by putting // in front of it

    I tried your fixes, but they did not work. I have created a new petition. If I use Cpanel to look at the database, I see all of it stored under petition #1. I added the above 2 changes through my WP admin section. Used the shortcode [emailpetition id=”1″] on a page, but the page is blank. Also, when I go to my Email Petitions List, in WP Admin section, it shows 2 petitions, but neither is clickable. It has a (1) on the petition list, but it is greyed out.

    Sorry, deactivated plugin, removed table through cpanel, re-activated and will reload info, all is okay.

    Thanks for letting me know. Hope the plugin helps your project.
