Hello, when I try to connect facebook to woocommerce it says I do not have permission to the facebook page. I have deleted this page and now have a brand new facebook page but I don’t see an option to choose a certain facebook page? How can I choose the new page instead of the old one which is deleted?
    Thank you so much…

  • Hi @danikas

Sorry to see you’re having some trouble getting connected. If you have the proper access to the page, the page is a business page, and can be connected to the plugin it should appear during the set up process.

Are you seeing the page and unable to select it, or does the page not appear for selection at all?

It would also help if you could also please send me a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.

That’s the thing, it does not let me choose the page, it automatically has chosen the old one which is deleted and I can’t change it, there is no option. I tried logging out, reinstalling the plugin etc. but nothing helps.

    Hi @danikas

That’s the thing, it does not let me choose the page, it automatically has chosen the old one which is deleted and I can’t change it, there is no option.

We’re going to do two steps here:

Step 1 – Add the page to your Business Manager, if it’s not there yet so you can select that later during the reconnection

Step 2 – Remove all data of the previous Facebook for WooCommerce connection

    Step 1

    – Go to this URL, and select the Business Manager you want to add the page to: https://business.facebook.com/settings/pages/

    – See the screenshot below, and then do a couple of things:

(Click on the Pages, and check the list of Pages connected on the Business Manager, if the new page you created isn’t there, click Add, and click Add a page.

When that’s done, let’s move to step 2.

    Step 2

Next Steps: Remove FB for WooCommerce from Database

What we want to do next is to completely remove the Facebook for WooCommerce data stored in your WordPress database.

    – First of all, please backup your database [Important]

    – Deactivate Facebook for WooCommerce

    – Please navigate to your phpMyAdmin page, you might want to ask your host if you’re not sure, and then navigate to the SQL section and paste the code below into the white box, lastly please click Go:

Click for the code to paste.

Sidenote: Sometimes some WordPress database has a unique table prefix, the most common prefix is wp, so the table will start like wp_options, but if your database has a different prefix, please ensure to adjust accordingly the above code.

Once the above data removal is completed, please reactivate Facebook for WooCommerce and then go back to Marketing > Facebook, and click Get Started.

    I hope that helps!

Hey, I did what you proposed but it did not help unfortunately, nothing changed, it still automatically redirects me to connect the old page which is deleted..

    Hi @danikas!

Would you be able to submit a ticket via WooCommerce.com?

Please provide a link to this thread for context and share what you have tried so far.

    Thanks!
