Hi, after I click the button on our page to view the activities for next month I get a ‘no permission to access’ message like this one:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC “-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN”>
    <html><head>
    <title>403 Forbidden</title>
    </head><body>
    <h1>Forbidden</h1>
    <p>You don’t have permission to access /agenda/action~agenda/page_offset~1/request_format~html/
    on this server.</p>
    </body></html>

I get a likewise message when I use the button to change the category
This happens also when I logged in to our site.
And it happens both with Firefox and Chrome

Could you help me out with this?
I already tried reinstall but same problem occurs
    Site address is:
    https://www.hetzonnelicht.be/agenda/

    Thanks already
    Dennis

  • Hi Dennis,

Do you use some security plugin, iTheme Security or similar?

    Hi Benjamin,

    I use wordfence

    Hi Benjamin,

It is the All In One WP Security plugin that is causing that problem.
I deactivated it and no error there anymore.
Then I reactivated the plugin and the error message appeared again.

Tried to change a few settings but as long as it was activated the error message kept popping up.

So if you know what to change in the All In One WP Security plugin, that would be great.

    Thanks,
    Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

Please try: go to Firewall > Additional Firewall Rules > Enable Advanced Character String Filter and uncheck it.

    Hi Benjamin,

That was actually unchecked from starters. So that could not be it.
But I deactivated the plugin once more and after reactivating it without allowing it to install previous settings to the htaccess file is doing the trick now.

So for now the problem seems resolved.

I am glad your problem is solved.

    Take care,
    Ben
