    Hi,

I had the message that.htaccess file is not writable.
I went to the file manager and checked the permissions which are set to 644. The public_html folder is set to 750.

I still can not save the .htaccess file from your plug in and get the following message: Could not write .htaccess file. Please check file permissions.

What can I do to solve this?

    Thanks,
    Aiyanna

    Hi,
To test things out you can put 777 on the file. But obviously, it’s not recommended to keep that permission.
Generally, the only thing you can do is to play with the file owner and permission properties. Our plugin does a simple is_writable() check and can’t do much if it returns false.

Does our plugin read the file properly? Does that work?
