  • It depends on the PDF viewer that is used by the browser. In many cases it is the Adobe Reader browser plugin but Chrome and Firefox for example have their own built-in PDF Viewer plugin.

    Try this:
Go to Settings > Media to enable the iFrame option and disable the PDF option. Then modify the PDF link (use the HTML tab when editing a post) so it looks like this:

    <a href="//url.to/your/file.pdf#toolbar=0&navpanes=0&nameddest=self&page=1&view=FitH,0&zoom=80,0,0" class="fancybox-iframe">link text</a>

The parameter toolbar=0 is supposed to remove the toolbar in the Adobe Reader plugin… Other plugins I don’t know.

I have my site with a pdf linked to a label, if i click on the label from a pc browser fancy box works really good but, i try from an Android tablet with chrome o the navigator , the pdf cannot be displayed… it seems i need an extension… but i’m not able to set up this setting.

    Can you help me?

I tried, but the toolbar is still alive… the print button died but download button is still active, how can I disable the download pdf button from the toolbar?

Hi LeonardoMoran, these url parameters are for the Acrobat Reader plugin. Your browser may be using another plugin. Google Chrome for example uses its own PDF Viewer plugin which probably will react differently or not at all to the parameters.
