No PayPal order found in the current WooCommerce session

    Hi
    We create manual orders from the backend and sends a direct payment link (/checkout/order-pay/{orderid}?pay_for_order=true&key=wc_order_key) to the customer.

    The button Paypal appears correctly ( the “place order” button is not present ) but when the customer ( no-logged ) tries to pay, it shows an error:

    “No PayPal order found in the current WooCommerce session”

    PD: We are using the 1.7.1 version
    PD: We use multicurrency and this error appears when is USD.

  • Well – at least I know it’s not just me. This is exactly what just happened with one of my manually invoiced customers.

    Hi @gonzalesc & @cgscomputers,

    Yes, there seems to be an issue when guest users are attempting to perform purchases from the “Pay for order” page. There are a couple of different problems which can potentially affect both PayPal and credit card payments.

    The checkout process should be working correctly when the user is logged into a WordPress account. So this would be a potential workaround.
    I’m not sure if this particular issue will be resolved in time for the upcoming 1.8.0 update, but it should be one of the next issues to be addressed:

    Hello,

    we are still working on the official fix for this issue. There are some solutions mentioned in the GitHub thread, but we can’t confirm if this doesn’t introduce any other unforeseen issues. We are hopeful this issue will be resolved in our next release.

    Please follow the GitHub issue if you want to be up-to-date on this case. We will close this thread since it will not add any information that can’t be found on Github.
