• Hi there,

I have just created a password protected page for some audios I have on my site, but when I try to go to that page, I am not seeing a prompt to enter the password.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks for any help.

    Sandra

Okay. I uploaded the pluggable.php file as a separate file into wp-admin and it’s official. It didn’t work. Still getting the

I have filed a bug report on this issue, which is obviously still unresolved. Does anyone know of any other recourse (aside from posting here) in resolving this issue?

I have a question on the page password. On my page I’m using PodPress for my audio file. If I enable the page password and go to the page, it will prompt me for the password but I could still see the podpress audio.

It’s not protecting the audio file. Is there a way to fix this?

Your’s is different. Is the podpress player inserted directly into the page content, or in the page template. If the latter then you’ll need to move the code into the page content itself.

Yeah, it’s not in the content because since the plugin provides a section in order to upload your file, I didn’t have to include it in the page itself.

I would still like to use the podpress player that I’m using now. Is there a way to obtain the information that podpress generates so I can input it in the page content?

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi I’m back again:

For the history on my tribulations with limiting access to a private page, please see my earlier posts. My blog is at https://prosperityonabudget.com/useful-audios.

Since my last post, I have removed password protection, but the page I am trying to protect is still private. I have tried different contact forms using the cForms II plug-in, where people register for access to my audios, create a username and password and after they receive a confirmation email, they can then log in to access the audio page. This worked until I logged out of wp-admin (of course).

I am really thinking there is some sort of bug in WP that is not allowing access to this private page. The error message that I and everyone else who tries to log in and access the audio download page on my site is the familiar:

Even the cForms II developer is saying this is out of his league. Can someone here help me?
