When creating a new user in WP-admin I set this email-shortcodes for the mail for the usre

    Login URL: [login_url]
    Login URL (Raw): [login_url_raw]
    Password: [password] (WordPress 4.3)
    Set-up Password URL: [password_url] (WordPress > 4.3)
    Set-up Password URL (Raw): [password_url_raw] (WordPress > 4.3)
    PW Reset link: [password_reset_link]

Non of these links got a url or the password. What shortcode can I use to sent new users the link to set their password ?
    Thanks

    Hi @schmicho,
    Thanks for your message.

The [password_url] shortcode should work. If it’s not outputting anything, it’s worth checking the ‘Text’ part of the WYSIWYG editor doesn’t have any additional HTML or characters that might prevent it from working.
If it still doesn’t work after checking this on the New User Registration – For User notification, then you may need to troubleshoot a conflict with the theme or other plugins by making your way through this support document: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/how-can-i-receive-the-best-support/

Let me know how you get on.

    Hi @voltronik
thanks for the fast reply. I tested the plugin on a complete fresh WP installation with everything updated and it’s the same problem. There is no WYSIWYG Editor because I did my email in the text (code) tab.

The E-Mail log-Plugin also only shows an empty space when entering [password_url] in the mail.

What else can I do to fix the problem ?

    Hi @schmicho,
That’s odd – i’ve tested but haven’t been able to replicate this.
    Can you confirm you’re using:

    • The latest version of WordPress
    • PHP 8.0 or 8.1
    • The latest version of BNFW
    • That you’re creating users via WP Admin > Users > Add New

    Hi @schmicho,
Are you able to share a link to a video showing your testing as per the steps above? I may be able to spot something from that.
